Nancy O'Dell began her broadcast career as a reporter and anchor on WPDE-TV located in Myrtle Beach South Carolina. Later, she was a morning reporter and anchor on WCBD TV. The work of O'Dell on the streets of Charleston regarding the leniency of police officers towards DUI cases resulted in being the State Law Enforcement Division investigating the cases. Ms. O'Dell was recognized by The Associated Press with the Best Report of the Year Awards to all media South Carolina. O'Dell then worked for NBC's Miami-based station WTVJ-TV as an investigative journalist, before she joined Access Hollywood in the role as a weekend anchor. O'Dell, in addition to being the lead anchor for Access Hollywood, also appears on NBC News Today as well Dateline NBC. She's reported on events such like The Oscars The Emmys The Grammys and The Golden Globe Awards as in addition to hosting a series of shows that were pre-showarrivals for The Emmys and the Golden Globes.
